I flew from Mumbai to Newark Thursday night arriving Friday morning at 6am local time. I slept for nearly 10 hours on the flight which was desperately needed. I had been getting 4-6 hours per night sleep while traveling and it had truly caught up to me. I did some work on the plane to prepare to spend Friday doing work, and taking an Uber out to an office in New Jersey to meet with more work folks.
This trip was my first experience using my Global Entry and it was amazing. After no lines at the kiosk I basically walked through. It was less than five minutes to get into the USA.
The Polaris lounge allowed for me to arrive at Newark and shower, shave, eat and get settled. It made all the difference between Friday being productive and not.
I got home late Friday night very tired. I slept another eight hours and have been trying to stay up past 8pm each night to get back to normal. So far success. I've gone out to run on Saturday and Sunday which helps get back to normal. I'm sleeping eight hours or so at night and getting up early but not before the sun is up. So adjusting as well as I could hope.
Today is Monday and I'm back to work (early) trying to catch up on everything. And drinking lots of coffee.
